Thank you for your interest in Startup Sisters, an invitation only organization that helps women launch and grow businesses through mentoring, education, networking and community involvement.  If you believe we can help you and are interested in being considered for membership, feel free to contact us nina@startupsisters.com, or reach out to one of our individual members who are listed on "The Sisterhood" page.

What we ofter is a non-threatening, informal way to meet like-minded women who are passionate about owning their own businesses and controlling their own financial futures. Whether you simply enjoy talking and exchaging ideas with other professional women, or believe you can benefit from the small group and one-on-one mentoring we provide each other, we are eager to hear from you.

While there is no charge for participation in our organization, we do have occasional fees for participation in field trips, special events and programs, which help defray administrative and operating costs, such as hosting for this website.

While our website design is frilly and playful, we are very serious about helping each other succeed in business. And we obviously enjoy each other's company, or we wouldn't have been able to help our members accomplish some very exciting things in our first 9 months of existence.

During our inaugural year, we:

Helped launch Poochi Smoochi, a website for people who love their dogs and treat them like family, which includes blogs, photos, news, product reviews and information from around the world about dogs and how we can give them richer, better lives for the short time they are with us.

Helped name, launch and promote Edie's Etchings, a new product line and subsidiary website of National Etching, which transfers children's artwork and photographs via a centuries old, hand-etching process to glass, crystal and other collectibles so that they can be treasured across future generations.

Helped a member redefine, restructure and relaunch her consulting business, open an office in Portland to increase her ability to generate additional revenue, and created opportunities for three other women who've since joined her firm -- and Startup Sisters.

Assisted one member with development of a consulting practice that generated visibility and helped her get noticed and hired as a senior VP for a large east coast international banking conglomerate.

Helped edit and promote a self-published book another Sister wrote to regarding the embattled construction industry, which analyzed the connection between company brands and internal cultures and their impact on overall business.

Supported another member whose love of watercolor painting has spawned a new revenue stream for her related to live, interactive web-based painting classes that she now teaches, which attract participants from around the world.

Assisted another Startup Sister with her analysis of opportunities related to her new company, which licenses her unique drawings and story-telling style to companies offering potentially lucrative business and merchandising opportunities.
